About The Event

This session is inspired by the quilt in the picture. We are going to do a sample of this (which you can continue to full size if you wish at home or just keep as a sampler, perhaps to go under your machine, pop on a chair etc

1 place left to build confidence with your machine, Starts from 9.30-12.30 but you can continue in the afternoon 2-5 as Craft a Lot is on in the afternoon.

We are making a 12 square (4x3) sampler.

All you need on the day is:-

Your machine (french plug or adaptor)

Fabric scissors and pins

12 squares for the top of your quilt in a design mix of your choice either 7 inches or 6 inches square -whichever ever pleases you.

Coordinating thread, it is recommended that a stonger quilting thread is used, but this is not essential

I will provid the wadding, backing fabric and basting glue if required.

I use my sample as a pad for my sewing machine, so have converted one square to a pin cushion and another for a scissor pocket. You can do this too if you wish. A pocket from a pair of old jeans or similar makes an excellent strong pocket for sharp scissors. It needs to be the same size as your squares obviously. Or you can make a pocket from your chosen fabric but it need to be reenforced otherwise the scissors will poke through.
